1. New furnaces or electric furnaces that have not been used for a long time must be ovened before use. When ovening, old sticks or other heat sources should be used as far as possible.

2. After the silicon carbon rod passes through the rod holes on both sides of the furnace wall, it should rotate freely 360° to prevent forced installation and beating. Before the rod installation, iron pipe with the same diameter as the rod end can be used for test assembly.

3. The silicon rod is hard and brittle. Be careful when transporting, unpacking, installing and replacing it. Handle and put gently, strictly prevent mechanical beating, so as not to break the rod.

4. When the new furnace starts to deliver electricity, the voltage should be increased gradually in order to prevent rod breaking. Generally starting voltage for rated voltage 1/2 is appropriate, all normal and then gradually increase the voltage.

5. If there is water discharge in the heating process when firing devices or materials, the resistance furnace should have an exhaust hole to remove the water or other harmful exhaust gas in the furnace, so as not to affect the service life of the rod.

6. Pay attention to moisture during storage. If it is found that the deterioration and deliquesation of the aluminum spray on the rod end can be re-sprayed after surface treatment. If there is no aluminum spraying condition, you can wrap several layers of aluminum foil in the rod spray aluminum section before using.

7. Overload use of silicon rods is strictly prohibited. If THE ROD IS BROKEN OR FOUND TO be uneven HEATING, local incandescent or dark red phenomenon for a period of time, this indicates that the rod body aging is not consistent, a section of resistance is too large, should stop the furnace maintenance and rod replacement.

8. The use of silicon carbon rod must be equipped with voltage regulating transformer or SCR voltage regulator and voltage, ammeter and temperature automatic control instrument. In the process of use because of rod oxidation, resistance gradually increases, in order to maintain the normal temperature of the furnace, should increase the use of voltage. When the voltage is increased to the highest limit of the transformer can not meet the requirements, the furnace can be stopped to change the connection mode of the rod and then continue to use.
